Welcome to my wild life! God has indeed blessed me just as I described in my blog title...while I would love to sit at His feet forever, sometimes life calls me away for awhile, but my heart is overflowing with love and gratitude because He is always there waiting when I make my way back!!!! It is a never ending merry-go-round of family craziness, sometimes bizarre but always bountiful blessings, and muttered prayers just to keep us all in working order....can't wait to share the wild adventures (& not so wild ones, as well) of our conversion to the Catholic faith during the last year, our homeschooling successes and mishaps, big family life & love, and all the little day-to-day trouble (fun!)we manage to find ourselves in.....stay tuned, you wont regret it! (I hope =])

ABOUT ME & MINE

Hi, ya'll! I am a 34 y.o. Catholic SAHM; wife to the best man in the world and mother of 7, yes I said 7, incredibly interesting children. The brood, as I call them, range in age from 6 to 16...and between them and Big Daddy they never let it get boring around here.Let me introduce us: I am Mama K, and hubby will be be known as Big Daddy, and as for the brood; will call them as follows from youngest to oldest:
Peanut 6, Luigi 6, Bumblebee 8, Goober 11, Simi 14, Mikey 15, and N. 16, and just so you know, I did not pick some of these names!!!!;)
We have one son, Bumblebee who has special needs, he is SEVERLY developmentally delayed. We have been down a very long road of doctors and testing looking for the correct diagnoses/cause....and now after almost 7 years of searching we are still almost no closer to finding an answer than we were when we started.Bumblebee is quite a challenge to raise and take care of....but God has blessed us w/ supernatural love that has allowed us too see his incredible value to the world, and every minute we are able to spend w/ him teaches us more and more about the love of God and His gift of grace for mankind.Bumblebee has blessed us greatly by coming into our lives and we are overjoyed to have him to love!He has taught us alot :)

We are a homeschooling family of 7 years who loves to share our ideas and stories, our failures and successes.Just this last semester we have slowly started lapbooking (we LOVE it!)and we use a very eclectic approach to learning in our household.

The Kitchen Prayer

Lord of all pots and pans, and things, since I've not time to be a saint by doing lovely things or watching late with Thee. Or dreaming in the dawn light, or storming Heaven's gates, make me a saint by getting meals and wahing up the plates. Although I must have Martha's hands, I have a Mary mind, And when I black the boots and shoes, Thy sandals Lord I find. I think of how they trod the earth each time I scrub the floor; accept this meditation Lord-- I haven't time for more.Warm all the kitchen with Thy love and light it with Thy peace. Forgive me all my worry, and make my grumbling cease. Thou who didst love to give men food,in room or by the sea, accept this service that I do. I do it unto Thee.
